It uses high-strength nylon fabric to encase closed-cell EPE buoyancy material, with a buoyancy rating of ≥150N (compliant with ISO 12402-5). 3M high-visibility reflective tape is provided on both the chest and back for easy identification at night and in turbid water; it is equipped with chest/waist quick-release buckles, a crotch strap, and a front tow loop, allowing for rapid escape or being towed to safety in an emergency.

The jacket features a snug fit that does not hinder paddling motions, making it the first line of safety protection for rescue personnel entering the water, and it is commonly used in conjunction with water rescue rope systems and wet rescue suits.
