FAQ

Frequently asked questions about equipment selection, pricing, certification and tendering.

What buoyancy does a swiftwater rescue life jacket provide, and can it be used in flood rescue?

A swiftwater rescue life jacket provides buoyancy ≥150N (ISO 12402-5), with 3M reflective front/back and a quick-release buckle plus tow loop — suitable for swiftwater, flood and urban-waterlogging rescue.

How should I choose between an assault boat and a RIB, and what outboard size?

Glass-fiber assault boats are durable for high-frequency duty; RIBs are lighter and easier to store for mobile tasks. A 3.8-4.8m craft pairs with a 15-40HP outboard — pick 30-40HP for heavy transfer or fast current, 15-30HP for routine patrol. Longsheng'an provides configuration and tender support.

How far can a pneumatic line thrower throw, and how is it used?

The water rescue projectile reaches ≥230m and auto-inflates into a life ring on landing; the line projectile crosses swiftwater or canyons to set up a crossing. The launch tube has a safety and must be operated by trained personnel.

At what water temperature should a wetsuit rescue kit be worn?

The 3mm neoprene wetsuit suits 10-25°C water for prolonged wading; worn with helmet, boots and gloves it forms a full-body protection system for swiftwater and cold-water rescue.

What is the difference between a floating pump and a mobile drainage pump station?

A floating pump draws water directly from the surface (≈48m³/h) and suits river/lake and waterlogged spots without power; a high-flow mobile drainage pump station delivers 1000-3000m³/h for concentrated urban and underground dewatering.

How long can a carbon-fiber rescue pole extend?

The telescopic carbon-fiber pole collapses to ≤1.6m and extends to ≥7m (1.6-7m options), weighs ≤2.5kg, with quick-swap hook/loop/net for remote delivery from bank, bridge or ice.

How many people can an RC water rescue robot save?

The RC rescue robot reaches ≥3 m/s, has a ≥500m control range, can tow 2-3 victims simultaneously, is IP68 rated, and is ideal for unmanned rescue in hazardous swiftwater and flood waters.

What flow rate does a high-flow mobile drainage pump station provide?

Rated 1000-3000m³/h with 8-20m head, trailer/truck-mounted and mobile, diesel-generator or mains powered — for urban flooding and underground-space dewatering.

How deep can an underwater inspection ROV dive?

Max depth ≥100m (optional 300m), with 4K camera, lights and forward sonar for underwater SAR, bridge/tunnel inspection and object recovery, replacing divers in high-risk work.

What qualification documents are needed when procuring flood & water-rescue equipment?

Test reports and factory certificates are standard; government / enterprise tenders usually also need supply certificates, parameter response sheets and bidding documentation. We supply a complete documentation set.

When is the best time to procure flood & water-rescue equipment?

We recommend completing all purchases 1-2 months before flood season to leave time for production, logistics and acceptance. Common items (life jackets, line throwers etc.) are usually ex-stock; bundled configurations follow contract lead time.
